Activity widget
An activity widget is a JavaScript-based tool that allows you to showcase the top tours in a city or category, or curate your own selection of tours to display.
It enables you to show activities according to Search terms, Specific URLs or Location
Choose further options:
- Number of activities displayed (we recommend 3)
- Activities you do not want to show
- Displayed language
City widget
If you’d like to give your readers a preview of everything a city has to offer, city widgets are the way to go.
To create this widget option simply search for the location you want to display and choose the widget language
Availability widget
With the availability widget, you will be able to display the availability for any experience in our inventory via a calendar. For more information please check the User's Guide.
Find the activity with GetYourGuide URL or search query, then select displayed language, currency and color theme
Activity widget, City widget & Availability widget
The section Tracking is for all widget options (click to expand):
- Placement parameters: tell you where the widgets are placed on the page (mandatory)
- Campaign parameters: help you to track the vital data per traffic source or can be used to differentiate traffic when using multiple websites
Once the query and parameters are set, the widget scripts will be automatically generated. The widget preview will be available on the left side of your screen.
If you’re happy with how it looks, copy and paste the code to your web page or blog post.
| Important: There are two parts: 1. the code snippet and 2. the analytics code. Please make sure that you have both installed. The analytics code is often forgotten, but mandatory to display the widget. Here is our guide on How to install the Integration Analyzer. |
Our widget is dynamic so it automatically adjusts its size. The activity widget will also adjust its layout (vertical/horizontal).
