What are my affiliate commissions?

All new partners who sign up receive a base commission of 8%.

The payment model of our affiliate program is Cost Per Acquisition (CPA) - this means that you will earn a commission on every booking that is made from the links/widgets that you integrate in your website or the activities your customers attend after your bookings.

GetYourGuide offers a tiered partnership structure with 3 categories based on volumes of traffic and integration tools needed.

  • General affiliation is the first level of the program and offers a variety of tools including general advertising materials such as banners and widgets, and access to a Partner Dashboard which allows tracking of your activities and results.
  • The advanced partnership tier is open to our top performing partners that have already established a working relationship with GetYourGuide. Advantages in this tier range from an increased commission rate to access to additional integration tools like our API.
For more inquiries on advanced partnerships please contact shane.mayer@getyourguide.com.
  • The third tier is for selected partners that require customized solutions like API integrations.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact our support team via our contact page.

What is the payment model?

At GetYourGuide, we use a revenue share model. For every booking your reader makes through one of our links/widgets, you earn a competitive commission. By partnering with us, you can connect your readers to over 50,000 top-rated tours and activities worldwide — while funding your next trip! Whether you’re writing about the world’s top sights or hidden delights, you’ll find incredible experiences to match on GetYourGuide.

Meet Shane, our Head of Partnerships. He'll show you how GetYourGuide can help turn your clicks into cash in no time.

What you should know about cookies & tracking?

Your visitors are tracked via cookies which helps in ensuring you get the commission. A cookie consists of information. When you visit a website, the website sends the cookie to your computer. Your computer then stores it in a file located inside your web browser.

Our cookies are active for our entire site for 31 days. So if visitors click your link or widget and book a different activity 2 days later, you’ll get full credit. Bookings in the app can also be attributed to you.

When you sign up as a GetYourGuide partner, you’ll be given an affiliate partner ID which we will use to identify visitors coming from your website to GetYourGuide via a tracking cookie. Every link you create using the link builder will contain your affiliate partner ID number. You can check the campaign performance on your Dashboard.

In recent news, Google revealed plans to block third party cookies across its Chrome browser by 2022. GetYourGuide affiliate program works only with 1st party cookies, therefore not affected by those changes.

How do I update my payment information?

After signing up as a Partner, you will need to fill your payment information. You can easily fill your payment details after logging into your account on our Affiliate Partner Administration:

  1. Hover your mouse on your profile icon in the top right corner > go to Payment details.

  2. Fill in your payment details >Save.

Please update your information as soon as possible If there are any changes, in order to avoid any delay in getting your commission.

Note: Whenever you update your payment info, it will take up to 3-4 business days to process the change. Please bear in mind that, we pay commissions on the 5th of the month, so if you update your information 1 or 2 days before, you might receive them in the next month.

Please also bear in mind that the currency you select will be the one we will pay your commissions in.

How long will it take until I see a return/profit?

The sooner you integrate the quicker you will start generating visits. A healthy conversion rate starts at 3% and can go above 6% and above to the top 25% of our partners. To optimize integration we have created a best practice guide with our best tips and tricks for integration.

Will bookings in the app also be attributed?

Yes. If a deep link to a location within the GetYourGuide app has a valid Partner ID or if a customer visits the GetYourGuide website with a valid Partner ID and installs the GetYourGuide app via the banner, purchases within 24 hours will be attributed.

Why haven't I received my payment?

If you haven’t received your commission payment, it may be due to one of the following reasons:

The commission payout threshold has not been reached.

Please note that we only pay a commission once the activities concerned have taken place and if you have reached the threshold of 50USD. Read more about when commissions are paid.

No payment details have been defined.

We cannot pay out any commission until payment details have been defined.

To add or edit your payment information:

  1. Visit our Affiliate Partner Administration and click on log in in the upper right corner.
  2. Hover your mouse on your profile icon in the top right corner > go to Payment details in the top right corner, then edit.

If you have met the above criteria and believe there is still an error, please contact us and we will double-check your information.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact our support team via our contact page.
